Youth unemployment is a major societal issue in Southern and Southeastern Europe. NEETs (young people not in education, employment or training) often struggle to enter the labour market due to skills shortage and insufficient training opportunities. Therefore, even sectors with huge development potential in these regions, such as cultural and heritage tourism cannot achieve any considerable growth.
The project aims to provide innovative solutions for youth unemployment through developing work-based learning schemes in a field with great potential for growth: cultural and heritage tourism. PRO-YOUTH will foster the ability of teachers/trainers/companies to engage directly with youth to ease their transition from education to work.
